      You also get in-built life and terminal illness cover, right from day 1 and there is no survival period for claiming benefits.

      You can customize your plan by choosing either Gold or Platinum plan.
      If gold plan is chosen, your policy terminates after the severe claim. If platinum plan is chosen, you get additional monthly income equivalent to 1.5% sum insured monthly for a period of 5 years.

      You can choose to pay your premiums on a yearly, half-yearly or monthly basis. For monthly mode, only credit card with mandatory standing instruction is allowed.

      If you have chosen ‘Return of premiums (net of claims paid)’ option, and you stay healthy throughout the term of the policy, you will get your premiums back.
      Even if you have made a claim, but the claim amount paid to you is lower than the premiums paid by you – we will refund the balance of your premiums back.
      In case you haven’t chosen ‘Return of premiums (net of claims paid)’ option, the plan will terminate on expiration of the policy term.

      When you make a claim under this plan, provided you fulfil the claims requirement, we will pay out the claim amount . Please refer the policy document for an understanding on which documents are required during claims.

      If you stop paying premiums,a grace period of 30 days (15 days for monthly mode) will be allowed. If you don’t pay your premiums in full within the grace period, then the Policy will lapse and the insurance cover will cease.
      A lapsed policy may be revived, during the Policy Term, within a Revival Period of two years from the date of first unpaid premium by submitting proof of continued insurability.
      You will be eligible for a surrender benefit after paying regular premiums for at least three full years from the date of commencement of the policy, in case you have opted for ‘Return of premiums (net of claims paid)’. Please refer our sales brochure for more details.
      Surrender benefit is payable only if with return of premium (net of claims paid) option is chosen.

      The time taken to settle a claim largely depends on the kind of claim that is admitted, it is very hard to generalize the number of days in which the claim will be paid out. However, if you provide all documents that are required for processing the claim, then the claims are processed swiftly. We have a composite claim settlement ratio of 91% as of 2015-16

      Terminal illness benefit can be claimed with the following documents:
      • Complete set of Investigation reports and medical case papers confirming origin and diagnosis.
      • Medical opinion of two independent medical practitioners specialized in same filed and registered with IMA confirming that life expectancy is no greater than 12 months.
      • Original policy document.
      • Cancelled cheque or bank statement
      • Any other documents which the company decides to call upon including independent assessment.

      Yes, you can apply even if your parents have cancer. This is not a cause for outright rejection – however that might come into consideration while underwriting the policy. Hence it’s always advisable to disclose your full medical history to ensure smooth payment of claims.

      Yes, you can apply even if your parents have heart ailment. This is not a cause for rejection; however you would have to undergo medicals and disclose your medical history in full – for the policy to be underwritten adequately.

      Yes, you can, provided tobacco consumption is within limits allowed under the plan

      Only one claim is permissible under each of these stages for Heart cover/Cancer cover. If Heart and Cancer cover is chosen, then one claim each would be admissible for Heart cover and Cancer cover under each of the stages.

      There is an initial waiting period of 180 days from the date of commencement of the policy or from the date of revival of the policy for the diagnosis & for valid claim to be admissible under this plan.
      There is no mandatory survival period between the date of diagnosis of a condition and the date of eligibility for a benefit payment under this plan.
      There is no waiting period in case of death.
